Praise God. Oh mylanta, PRAISE GOD.

Today in clinic we got the results of the bone marrow engraftment studies. These are the day +30 labs that let us know how strong my new graft is and I am crying telling you that it was 100% Donor. There are 3 tests- every. single.test.was.100%.Donor

For reference, we never made it this far last year.

My PET scan was also clear. So this is big news for the Mahans. Dare I say this is the best news we’ve gotten in 2 years. We are so thankful for every single prayer. EVERY. SINGLE. PRAYER. I’m a mixed bag of emotions but it’s mostly relief and happiness. These tests show that the transplant worked. It finally worked. I still have 2 months of clinic ahead- we have to make sure the graft stays strong, but guys we are off to a GREAT start.

I shared this on my social media but I wanted to put this here too. We got it anonymously in our mailbox over the weekend. While we were waiting on test results.

At the time, it felt like a God wink. Now I know it was a God wink. Look how God takes care of our hearts. He is so good.
