Woof- September has been a doozy for the Mahans. We’ve had every virus school can throw at us, a broken bone and I had two chemotherapy weeks this month. (the 3rd and 23rd)
BUT
We do have “confirmed” new dates for the stem cell transplant.
I will start the process October 16th. My central line will be placed on October 17th and chemotherapy conditioning follows until transplant day (DAY ZERO) on October 25th.
If you bought a Root for Danielle shirt, please wear them on October 25th
Question: Will it really happen this time? I have no flip flop idea. I told my team that I’m not sure I’ll believe this is happening until I’m actually admitted to the hospital ready for my new baby stem cells. As a reminder, this transplant was supposed to happen in April. It’s been a long road to get here.

I am traveling up to Boston this week to be with my dad while he undergoes surgery. While I am not thrilled he is having surgery, I am thrilled that I am in a position to be there. If the original transplant timing had worked out, I would not be. I see God’s kindness and gift in that.
I appreciate prayers for safe travel and for his speedy recovery ❤
Thank you for being a part of my healing journey,
Danielle
