It’s been a busy week for the Mahan clan and it’s only Wednesday ๐
Monday & Tuesday were days spent at the hospital completing tests for the THIRD time for stem cell transplant evaluation. I met with my team, reviewed my new protocol and donor (both different since March) and finished Tuesday off with a chemotherapy treatment.

New timeframe to start the transplant will be end of August/beginning of September. It will all depend on when my new donor is available. All I know about the donor is she is an 11/12 match and a female. Please pray over this selfless heart.
I want to acknowledge that the timing of both evaluation and transplant were an answered prayer. For those of you who prayed with me to protect our family trip to the beach as well as not starting transplant when Annie is starting Kindergarten, THANK YOU.

Something NEW we are doing with stem cell transplant TWO is our family is being supported by a t-shirt fundraiser. The funds will go towards unexpected transplant expenses. Also, the mental burden I felt last fall being isolated from friends and family was incredibly difficult. My hope is you will wear this shirt and tag me on instagram OR just send me a message, letting me know you’re wearing it. I’m hopeful it will be a much needed morale booster.

We choose the Redwood tree root system as our theme. Redwoods, which are some of the tallest and strongest trees in the world don’t have a deep root system. What they DO have is an intricate, intertwined root system with other Redwoods that make them resilient to adversity. All because they get their strength from each other. It’s a really beautiful symbol of community and reminded me of the community that has supported me here since December 2023.
If so inclined, we would love and appreciate your support. Fundraiser runs till August 13th
Upcoming important appointments
August 12- next Chemotherapy
Thank you for being a part of my healing journey,
Danielle
