The fog of round 5 is lifting and the light of the end of this tunnel is starting to peak through. Dimly, but I can see it. The bounce back hasn’t been coming easy these days but with the support of loved ones and the knowledge that the end to this chapter is coming, we are making it.
One more treatment to go.

I was accompanied to Mayo Clinic in purple wigs for round 5 by my best friend Kaitlyn. Known as @theamericanroyal by some, she is one of the first friends I made when we moved back to TN in 2015. We became moms together and honestly is there any sweeter friendship than the one where you transform life stages at the same time? Over the last 8 years she has been such a rock, a force and confidant in my life. She is such a wonderful example of a Proverbs 31 woman, wife, mother and friend. She is also author of the most perfect 20 minute voice note.
Finding a friend who takes the time away from her job, family and spouse to go on glamorous vacation is one thing, but finding one who offers to do the selfless job of caregiving is next level.

Kaitlyn, boo, I promise next time we’ll take that plane to Italy instead!
Upcoming important Dates:
Last Chemo: The date for this is TBD. I have one scheduled for Florida in May but I’m trying to get it re-scheduled so I can receive the treatment at home. (Nashville) My little man has a big birthday in May and I’d like to be home for it. Please pray we can get everything scheduled in a timely manner and that I don’t have to travel for my last treatment.
End of treatment scan: May 28– Mayo Clinic. This will be my official remission scan and will be the start of a MUCH needed respite from all things cancer & treatment related for about 4-6 weeks until stem cell processes begin.
Thank you for being a part of my healing journey,
Danielle
